Compensation For Rain-Hit Farmers Today

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday directed the officials to give compensation to the farmers who lost their crop due to unseasonal rains by Tuesday evening.

In addition, the families of those who died due to lightning will get ex gratia. The Chief Minister held a review with the officials at the Secretariat on the damage caused to horticulture and agriculture plantations in the State due to rain in the past two days.

Naidu inquired from the Collectors on extent of damage. He said action should be taken to prevent casualties.

Officials informed the Chief Minister that to paddy and maize in 2,224 hectares got damaged.
